Well i had a fairly quite week last week I didn’t manage to make it to the racing due to an unfortunate flat tyre on the car and that turned into a £200 bill as I needed another tyre as well.

These aren’t the sort of things that I’d usually give out but I’m feeling generous today 
I think I may have become a bit addicted to designing t-shirts, after the fun I had designing the ones for our pool team and the ones I have designed for myself so I don’t have to follow the masses who have the same shirts. I have a few gigs coming up this year so again I will put t shirt printing to good use again and have some knocked up for the gigs.
This will save me some pennies as proper authentic tees are quite pricy and although I’m all for my favourite bands, sometimes after the price of tickets, drinks and food for the gig I aint left with a lot so I though it better to save money and make my own. As per usual I will be using the services of Adlogo and hope they can work their usual magic with my designs on t-shirts for me and sexy vest tops for the other half!
I am excited not only to see my final designs but parading them at the gigs this year, safe in the knowledge that no one else will be sporting them, I hope, now that would be weird.
Over the weekend Apple sold nearly a million iPad 2 tablets in the U.S which is more than the first iPad, with people queuing for hours on Friday to be the first to own one. Now personally I don’t see what all the fuss is about. I have a perfectly good Android phone, Laptop, home PC and an Xbox, I don’t think I would have anywhere to fit an iPad into my life. Well not until the laptop goes caput which shouldn’t be for a good while yet! Not that I am an anti Apple person I just wonder how much ‘useless’ technology we collect over our life time.
The iPad 2 will go on sale here in the UK on the 25th of March so no doubt there will be huge queues of people waiting to get their hands on the iPad. Although the iPad seems very popular it’s hard to understand the sudden fascination with it and all the other tablets out there, especially since everyone is supposed to be skint at the moment. Another thing I also noted is that there isn’t a huge difference between the new iPad and its predecessor, so it looks like Apple, just like their mobile phones will keep churning out iPads for the next few years without any major technical advancements or improvements for a long while.
Well it’s the start of the Cheltenham festival today which is 4 days of racing which also includes the Gold Cup, which is run on Friday. Since my luck at the last race event that I went to I think I’ll be going on Friday to watch the gold cup.
Now given that there are only 3 horses that I would look at backing, unless I see or hear something different. There’s Imperial Commander that won last year but does he really have it in him to do it again as I felt he was given the win. Kauto Star and of course Denman are my bets and you can guarantee that they’ll have some good jockeys on, for such a big race.
I’ve already got a inkling that again Ruby Walsh will be riding Kauto Star, who has won it twice before.
Luckily after last week a generous friend came round with his volcano vaporizer and a few herbal blends after he managed to acquire a good handful of rolling paper from me. Anyway I’ve been using it most nights as its pretty good, and one of the best vapes that I’ve used. If they were slightly cheaper then I’d of bought one this week but since I’m going to the Gold Cup, then it will have to wait a for a month or so unless I have a good win on Friday.
I’m really impressed how easy the volcano vaporizer is to use, there’s 2 different versions the Volcano Digit Vaporizer and classic, but both have varying pros and cons to both. There’s also a slight price difference between the easy and solid valves not that much that I’d be swayed to either version as its only about £30.
It seems every effort to stamp out smoking bar making it illegal is happening here in the UK and only here in the UK, surprise, surprise. News this week that tough new rules on tobacco means that a packaging on for fags must contain only a health warning, nothing more. So basically fag packets will now be plain, unbranded with no colour, logo’s or graphics of any kind.
Apparently these measures will help kick start the falling numbers of people quitting, however I personally think it won’t make a difference to long time hardcore smokers, me included who don’t give a rats arse what the packaging has on it. It could have fairies and kittens for all I care it would not make me stop.
After all the restrictions on smoking all that will be left will be to ban it after all if this won’t make people stop smoking what will, plus I doubt plain packaging will deter kids nowadays either so I ask what is the point, try sorting other things out first like hmmmm what oh yeah the countries debt!
I may be a man but I don’t do DIY, I don’t attempt it, in fact I don’t even think about DIY and that includes decorating. I’m a firm believer that you should always get a professional in even for painting and decorating, especially if wallpaper is required, which is where I find Yahoo Local offered by Infoserve handy.
So when the other half decided that some of our rooms need a makeover I started looking for painter and decorators to do the job, which won’t be small, all in all the living room, dining room and two bedrooms are being done, so as you can see this isn’t a job I want to be undertaking, especially as I think they are fine just as they are.
I don’t have an interest in fashion, but sometimes I like to amuse myself with what ‘trends’ are in however after having a look at what is ‘in’ this summer I can quite frankly say I am glad I am not a follower of fashion. (I can feel a song coming on here.)
When I had a look at some pictures of the designer’s catwalk shows I thought I had come across one big joke, however as I looked on these ‘trends the designers were showcasing were serious. The worst item I saw was the mankini as you could probably guess a bikini one piece for men, think Borat but just slightly less revealing. Not sure what guy in their right mind would wear that to the beach. Another thing I kept spotting were crop tops which I would guess would only be wearable by a small selection of men who possessed a six pack.
Looking through a lot I came to the conclusion that designers have run out of ideas for men’s clothes and have started nicking them off women, saw quite a lot of lacy shirts and lots of flowers, all I can say is you wouldn’t catch me wearing it!
I never really watch Man United games, because I’m not a fan and come to think of it, nobody really likes them really, even people in Manchester prefer city so the only Man United fans are people from foreign countries or people that live in London and but the best one is Man United fans that have never seen them play ha ha! Anyway by now you’ve probably spotted my hatred for the red devils and their fake fans.
So over the weekend I was watching Match of the Day as i like to see what’s going on in the lower end of the Premier league and I saw that there was a massive cock-up on Saturdays Wigan, Man United game. Shrek aka Rooney the lazy git, clearly elbowed one of the Wigan players for no apparent reason, yet didn’t get any card for the offence yet in my humble opinion he should clearly of been sent off. Rooney must have been off his head to do such a daft thing was he smoking fags using a Rizla rolling machine to make them. It’s shocking that nothing has even happened after the game it’s a disgrace to football. This is another reason why there should be a video ref that can communicate with the ref on the pitch as it happens all the time, even from non Man United players. From any YouTube video it’s clear that the ref didn’t see the incident but saw that the Wigan player was claiming injury.
I even thought i was tripping when i watched him assault the Wigan player he should be made an example of and, be banned from playing for England not that he does that much anyway.
I had a few friends round on Saturday and my large box of rolling paper has been nearly halved so I guess some one was been light fingered, but I can’t complain because someone left a nice full packet of Golden V.
Well the Bahrain F1 GP has been cancelled due to the violence that has, instead the first F1 GP race has been moved to Melbourne. But what gets me is why they didn’t just move it to Abu Dhabi as its closer and probably strategically better for people to get too travel wise as many spectators will have already organised travel arrangements for Bahrain. Then I suppose moving to Australia is just as easy though because it’s the next race in the F1 2012 calendar, although god knows how they will fit all the races in before the end of the season.
I wonder if Bahrain will regain the 1st race of the season for 2012, or because of political unrest it may be scrapped for now, which is a shame, however it’s not one place I fancy going to see F1, I would love to go to the Spanish GP one year but that will be way, way in the future.
I was looking through some old bank statements the other day and I’ve been using shiva Headshop for years and i was quite surprised how long I’ve been using stuff like bongs and herbal highs, maybe if I cut down on these I will be able to afford to go and see a F1 race. Then again, nah will just keep doing the lottery instead.
Well the weekend was a bit hit and miss really TV wise, I can remember seeing Katie Price dressed up as Freddie Mercury, (at first i thought i was trippin but remembered i was only smoking rollies using some zig zag rolling paper with some GV in) which was pretty much an insult and before you start moaning I don’t care if it was for charity. She’s only doing it so that she doesn’t appear all moody all the time, in honesty she could die and i wouldn’t really care she’s such a media whore, I’d happily never see her in the papers or TV again. Alex Reid’s had his free meals and now has to make it on his little lonesome.
Sunday was a pretty laid back day and i didn’t get much done just chilled and watched TV, this week has been pretty busy though which is good as the days blend into nights and before i know it it’s the weekend again
