The awesomeness that is the Xbox 360

I wasn’t surprised to read that more Xbox 360s were sold in 2010 than the year before, in the US. The huge range of amazing games that came out last year and the arrival of Kinect helped increase the year on year sales, which isn’t a bad achievement for a console that is five years old.

In fact in December alone 1.9 million 360’s were sold, probably by people wanting to get in on the Kinect fun for Christmas. Although I haven’t yet gone down the Kinect rout, (probably a bit too much energy excursion for me) you can’t deny the power of the Xbox 360 and the number of class games that came out last year. My personal favourites were obviously F1 but also Call of Duty – Black Ops, Red Dead Redemption and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, oh and Fifa 11 but that’s a favourite every year.

I will be waiting with baited breath for this year’s new releases and hope the titles live up to last years, probably as do Microsoft  so they can keep selling more and more 360’s!

Selling my stash

Over the years I have acquired a right stash of CD’s, DVD’s and games, many of which I do not listen to, watch or play so I have decided to have a good clear out and sell a stash that I no longer want. In the past I would have tried my hand at a car boot sale to get rid of them or wait months for them to go on eBay, but not anymore.

There are a number of online sites that give you £££££ for all your old Cd’s etc, without auction all you have to do is send your stash and get some cash. One site I found online was Musicmagpie.co.uk which is the only web site in the UK that allows you to turn your old CDs, DVDs and Games into cash instantly. All you have to do is enter the barcode of the item you want to get rid of and they will tell you how much it is worth.

The site is free to use and they offer either freepost postage or if you have a huge hoard of over 100 items then they offer you a free, fully insured door to door courier service. Brilliant! So all I have to do now is choose what I don’t want, which to be fair is probably most of it, wonder what I can by with the money I get………….?

Team t-shirts

I‘ve had a few t-shirts knocked up by Adlogo for me and the guys from pool because we have got a team knock out coming up soon and we stand a good chance of winning finally since we have actually been playing really good recently. Although we will have to make sure that we don’t get too largered up before hand like we do normally. On the other hand a few drinks do tend to calm our nerves, well apart from one guy who shakes like shitting dog when he’s got a shot, it’s funny, well not so much when we are losing. I can remember where he fouled 3 times in a row due to this issue HAHA although we did lose!

I used Adlogo’s t shirt printing service at Christmas, it was great and it couldn’t be faulted and again they have met my demands for these t-shirts! The guys were also made up with the t-shirts but Pete’s was a bit tight on him because he’s a bit tubby as he likes Pukka Pies but hey ho!

Present wise i didnt really get much that was of everyday use to me.

Anyway i hope you guys had a better one than me

Corries tram crash

I’ve been watching corrie the past few days the actual training coming off was a bit crappy, and when the last bit came off and reared up like Godzilla I was slightly confused and amused, but i thought that the explosion was pretty good and how all the rubble is piled up and stuff like that. But who is going to die.
My thoughts are below

1: Molly Dobbs

2: Ashley Peacock

3: Charlotte

Does she count since john bashed her on the head with a hammer. I’m really glad that Lloyd Mullaney hasn’t died since I think he plays a great part. I thought that that ginger lad is doing a sterling job, of not been able to function due to getting flashbacks from his time in Afghanistan.

I’m also left wondering if fat fizz’s baby will survive, technically it could survive if its in icu for babys.

Papers & F1

Well last night found myself out of rolling paper again, so I’ve already placed an order for some more. I see that EA have updated my copy of F1 2010 for the xbox 360. But I’ve noticed a few issues still.

I’m 3 races from the end of the season and within shot of the championship and Vettel is my main rival and currently leading the championship. He’s constantly been on form in race and qualy trim. Yet i had my first wet qualy yest and was 1st until the last 5 minutes, upon the time running out i noticed that vettel is down in 15th, bit of a coincidence that i need a win and he is placed down there for the start of the race.
This week’s been pretty hectic with work and odd jobs at home, and last night was my first proper sit down in ages.

Celebs

Yesterday i was thinking about celebs of the 00’s and now really, and there’s a few that really jump out.

Of course I’d have to mention Ms Cole, who currently never seems to be out of the lime light for one reason or another, whether she’s at deaths door with Malaria or her div of and ex-husband starts to sleep around again why oh why Ashley.

If i was to look at couples it would have to be the Beckhams.

They always have their kids with them and Becks is always playing with the kids whether its footy or messing around at Nickelodeon.

I’ve been browsing around a bit and found this article that seems to be the same thoughts as mine but also includes Britney Spears & Beyonce

F1 2010 Xbox 360 Its A Bit 50/50

So I’ve upped the AI settings on F1 2010 and it now seems more realistic in the term that I qualify near the back and the races I find it hard to come close to the top ten. But I do find certain tracks harder than others, Catalunya in Spain I find harder to race on even though the track isn’t that complicated yet I jut can’t put in any good lap times, compared to Melbourne where I qualified mid table and finished in the points, it seems that the car just suits certain tracks compared to others.

Before i get off on to a rant it’s nice to see that my parcel turned up from my local source on time which is wicked

One thing that really annoys me is that when you enter the pit lane other cars seem to turn into ghosts and can just drive through you, which doesn’t happen in real life. It really seems that Codemasters have done some things such as behind the scenes but then stuff that you see in the game has been left and not really thought about.

You can see from the Codemasters forum for the game that there appears to be loads of bugs and they are working on a patch, but in my eyes most of these issues should of been fixed before the game was released.

Melissa Cohen Not As Good As She Thinks

I’ve been watching the Apprentice weekly and Melissa Cohen is next to useless. She claims to have taught her boss how to run his business. but i don’t see how shes taught anyone anything. all she does is whinge and bitch if she doesn’t get what she wants.

Every Week she wants to be the person in charge every week, you can see the glint in her eye and how agitated she gets if she isn’t picked. Then if she isn’t picked claims that shed of been best because shes delt in that industry. you couldn’t manage the first week when you where dealing with food, which is your industry, so i doubt you’ll manage with anything else love.

Melissa Cohen managed to wind me up every week and never seemed that professional to me and never backed down or took No for any answer.

I’m glad to see Melissa Cohen gone but i will miss her daft hair reminds me of Jeward
