Water Change Time Again

Well it’s that time again, where the marine tank wants a water change, I’m hoping to nip to my local fish shop at lunch and get some water as well as getting my hair cut. Time wise it’s going to be tight as getting my hair cut will take around 30 minutes then 20 minutes to get to and from the fish shop. I guess I could save time by not taking the water home to heat up straight away, although I would rather do that as I can then do the water change tonight as the water will be correct temperature. And not have to wait until tomorrow.

The UV unit has been running in my tank for around 4 weeks, but I still don’t want to put any new fish in just yet. I think I’m too worried about losing another fish.

Today the weather is lovely, so I’m kind of hoping that it will stay nice for tomorrow so that I can have a lovely day out. Whether we go to the coast or have a day out in a city somewhere I’m not too sure yet.

panorama – Are the Net Police Coming for You ?

I was watching panorama – Are the Net Police Coming for You? Last night about downloading music illegally, the PC Guru was a complete idiot,
Those kids where using U torrent and Bit torrent like he said.

They constantly referenced The Piratebay and most people know that is a .org domain and not the .com like they seemed to show now and again.

Then when they were using other people’s wireless network, the pc guru thought it was hacking when he clearly just used windows to connect to another router.

They then had some right Geek using a Proxy address which hides your IP where as they called it animinity. To be honest when everyone starts using proxies they are really up a creek without a paddle.

They slowed the net connection down for some people which they do by putting all the file sharers on so your usually sharing your pipe with 50 others and its slower than dial up trust me.

Last rant why would those families go on knowing that the kids are downloading illegal music and that they could end up in court?

Today I’ve just seen that The Mirror are offering a £2 free bet in conjunction with William Hill, so i think I’ll be going to the bookies at lunch

Smoke 2 Joosey Reviewed

I’ve just received news of Smoke 2 Joosey hit one of my favourite head shops. I’ve also been lucky enough to have a packet sent up for review and by god it’s a good smoke.

It smells really sweet and has a lovely taste and has some great affects in my eyes.

The packaging is really nice as well, in honesty I’d probably buy it on the look of the packaging alone.

Smoke 2 Joosey retails at £11.99 but can be found at great prices when buying multiple packets at 3 for £30.

Rumours are flying around the forums that this herbal incense is the best yet.

Quick Post

Over the past few days I’ve had a few problems with my yellow tail damsels. I’ve got 3 of them and they’ve been fine for around 2 months, but over the past 2/3 days the biggest one has been chasing the little one, which to say the least is a little bit battered. He doesn’t come out often but he’s found a great hiding place and the other 2 can’t seem to find him.
Hopefully he’ll stay tucked in there and only come out to eat and hopefully he’ll get better quickly if not it’s going to be a nightmare to catch all 3 of them.

Only a short post today but I thought I best put something up.

I ended up going with VC for my free bet as they offer up to £100 in free bets. Fair enough you’d have to put £100 in to get it back but it was more than the others where offering.

Iolite Vaporizer

Today I received a lovely iolite vaporizer , there is only a few niggles that i have with it which are the mouth piece can get quite warm after extended use and that it can be slightly noisy when you’re in a quite location. Apart from that I love it runs on lighter fuel and it fits comfortably in your hand.

If The Sender Doesn’t want the iolite vaporizer back then i think i’ll be sticking it up on eBay to make a few extra pounds

I’ve had 3 yellow tail damsels in the tank for a few months, but the biggest one seems to be picking on the smallest one which isn’t in the best of health and i have seen him chasing my lovely clown fish arghh. I’ve been to my local Fish Retailer today and they’ve said that they will take them off my hands. They are only cheapish fish at £3.99 each and the last thing i want killing is one of my paired clown fish.

When these three fish go from my aquarium I’ll only be left with three a Yellow Tang & a pair of Clown fish. Which is a bit strange when a few weeks ago I had, 3 yellow tail damsels, Bi Colour Blennie, 2 Clowns, Blue Cheek Gobi and a Bi Colour Angel, 3 of these have died.

I’m going to leave it a while before any restocking, and see how it goes with water quality and the lease of life.

A Busy Weekend

This weekend has been a bit hectic. On Saturday morning I went to my local fish shop so that I could get some fresh saltwater for my aquarium, 25 litres for £5. I then left that throughout the day with a heater in so that it was the right temperature to go straight into the tank with minimal disturbance to the fish.

When I went into the fish shop they had some lovely regal tangs which would just grow too big for my 180 litre tank. The flame angels are lovely as well but after the death of my bi colour angel i doubt i’ll be spending £70 on one anytime soon.

Saturday daytime, I helped some family members move into their new house which surprisingly seemed to take all day although it passed really quickly and to be honest I quite enjoyed it.
When I got home there was loads of washing out drying, which in turn needed ironing. When I got this done I finally moved on to taking some water out of tank and down the loo, and then onto putting fresh saltwater back in to the tank. In honesty it looks really clear now but we’ll see how long it lasts.

I saw that William hill are offering a £30 free bet, which isn’t bad so I think I’ll be signing up with them so that I can get a bet in the Gold Cup. I might only spend £15 so that i can use the other £15 worth of free bets in the Grand National.

This Week In Brief

Tonight i have pool again. We are playing at the same pub we played at last Thursday and won, but we are playing the team from that pub not a knock out cup team, Tonight’s team I below us but we tend to lose to the teams under us, I think we are hoping that if we play well then we know it’s our table that’s causing up problems and not our playing.
Tonight’s pub is good for smoking as you can stand outside and smoke and still watch the game that’s been played. I’ll get some rollies made up before going out, I’m well into my 1st box of rolling papers so I I’ll have to calm down, otherwise I run out quicker than expected

I’ve bought a Fish R Fun Internal 9W UV Sterilizer from eBay, in the hope that it might help the mystery of dyeing fish in my aquarium. I know it’s not the best UV Sterilizer out on the market but I just want to keep everything in the tank as I’m not ready for a sump yet as space is tight.
I’m hoping it will turn up tomorrow, as I have a water change due at the weekend and ideally would like it in place for then.

Racing and Fish

I’m trying to arrange a day out at the Cheltenham festival which is a massive horse racing event in the UK. The Gold Cup is the big race and probably the most well known after the Grand National. It takes place on the 19th of March.
The last few races have been between a few famous horses Kauto Star and Denman.

If I don’t manage to go, I’ll b having a bet online, in which case I’ll be looking for a new sign up on a betting site that will offer a nice free bet. On certain betting sites they recognise you from your card number so if you sign up make sure you’re using a different card so that you get your free bets.
Free bets are usually around the value of £20 so when you sign up make sure to find a gambling site that offers a sign up bonus / free bet.

I managed to lose another fish at the weekend, which was the bi colour angel which I had only recently bought. Local shop says that I could have a pathogen in the water and has advised me to get a UV steriliser. This should kill all infections in the water and help to keep it clear.

Pool Pool And More Pool

These weeks been hectic, with playing 3 nights of Pool oppose to just 1. Tuesday was a re arranged league match against our A team, i lost both my singles and doubles game, i majorly helped the A team by potting the black for them in our doubles game.
Wednesday was our usual league game and it was against another B team like us, again i lost both singles and doubles and the game went 7-2 too them.
Last night was our re arranged cup semi final Knock out game, the good news was that we were playing on a decent table, probably the best one in the league. Knock out games are different as it’s the first team to 5 wins is the winner of the night, we got off to a good start by winning the first 2 games, we lost the third game by a few odd shots, I played forth and won my game, I played some great long shots and great covers.

Tonight we are going out for a meal since I’ve been out 3 nights this week, I thought it would only be fair to the other half.

The weekend was looking good but the weather is pretty bad at the moment, so I’m hoping that the weather will improve dramatically.
If it doesn’t I reckon I’ll be in front of the laptop playing online poker for the majority of the weekend , well until my funds run dry.

Ocean Colour Scene & Dead Fish

Ocean Colour Scene where amazing last night, the new album track really lit the room up, but as soon as The Riverboat Song came on the roof came off those first few notes made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I’m glad I broke into my rolling papers to make a few rollies before hand, as I gave a few to the bloke next to me who was of similar age to me but he was from Bradford. There were a few young ones that where smoking pot with blunts, you could smell it everywhere lol. We both managed to not get caught though by the security blokes who were quite ruthless with spotting smokers.

I did a 20% water change at the weekend, and it’s really improved the clarity, but I have now another issue in that on Sunday evening my Bi Colour Blennie was dead on the sand bed. Having been out all day I can’t pin down when he died, but what does concern me is that 2 rock dwelling fish have both died in a very close space of time. I’m going to put a trap in tonight to see if i can catch a mantis shrimp or a vicious crab.

I had a good birthday, well apart from the dead fish. This week will be hectic with 3 nights of pool and then a meal out on Friday night.
