Well it’s nearly upon us, my birthday that is and my trip to go and watch Ocean Colour Scene. I’ll have to open my box of rolling papers and make some rollies up for the gig, if your sly you can often get away with a fag, but you need to conceal the lit end with your hand otherwise it’s a dead giveaway.

I’ve got a problem with my marine tank, in that I’ve lost 1 fish a blue cheek Gobi. I last saw him around 3 days ago and I thought he was just under a rock. Anyway last night I was at my wits end and pulled all my rock out, surprise surprise he wasn’t there, I then proceeded to take the internal filter apart Still no sight so i can only think he’s either jumped out of the tank (even though I’ve checked behind it) or that he’s died under the internal Jewel Filter. I can’t see that he’s been eaten as he never got bullied and themes no remnants of him anywhere which I would expect to find.

Next week will be hectic as we have 3 pool games, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Due to the snow over the festive period we missed playing the pub a team so we have that game on Tuesday, our usual game on Wednesday and a postponed semi final cup match on Thursday.

Rolling Papers

I was been thinking last night and I’m really hoping that there’ll be some tour t shirts at the gig on Sunday and I don’t want any cheap t shirts I want some high quality t shirt printing on fruit of the loom t shirts.

I’ve been watching most of the Mr Bean Episodes that ITV are re showing, they are timeless. They still make me laugh today even as an adult, I thought they where hilarious as a kid and always wanted to watch them when they were repeated over the Christmas period.

I saw a few clips of the 2010 Brit awards and be far the best was Liam Gallagher accepting the award for Best Album in 30 years. He threw the mic into the crowd and generally looked of his head, albeit i did find it hilarious.

T Shirt Printing

Where playing pool tonight at a town pub which is strange for us as we don’t normally allow town pubs in but this one is the exception. We usually stick to country pubs which suit us fine. The most distant pub for me is probably around 40 minutes away but I only have to go there once a season so it isn’t too bad. My form for the past 2 weeks has been a bit lack lustre to say the least, but in my defence the breaks have gone really well for the other person.

It appears Richard Ashcroft has a new Band called United Nations of Sound. Well hopefully he’ll be doing some gigs when the album gets released. I’ve seen him live twice before, once when he was doing the Solo scene and pushing his Keys to the world album, he also did some Verve Hits. Then I was lucky enough to see Verve again in Manchester Central. This was the site of the Old Manchester Railway Station and it’s an amazing place for gigs.

I’m really hyped up about the Ocean Colour scene gig the new album Magic carpet days, but it won’t beat the golden oldies. Hopefully the venue will be packed to the rafters.

This week’s already going quickly with me spending a few hours a night playing online poker with my friends.

The weekend will be hectic as it’s my birthday on Sunday and obviously the trip to Bradford in the afternoon.

Looking forward to tomorrow though since I have pool in the evening, I could really do with winning this week as i have lost my last two games.

New year new look, I decided today that I’d have a fresh look for my blog. I wanted to stay with the dark colours and the lines, and managed to sort this out.

I’ve been watching some of the Winter Olympics over in Vancouver, when I catch it I’ll watch it in depth. We won two medals back in 2002, one Gold for women’s curling and one Bronze for Alex Coomber for Skeleton. Right I didn’t know what this was but it uses the same track as the Luge, but you go down on a sledge facing forward on your stomach, the rider uses skis on their feet to steer and brake.

2010 winter olympics

In honesty I don’t think we’ll be getting a high medal count this year either, we might get a curling and skeleton the same as 2010 but anything else would be a bonus and unexpected in my mind.

A work colleague has just come back from holiday and brought me back a nice box of rolling papers which was nice of them. It was a box of Rizla Blue’s so each packet has 100 papers in and the big box has 25 packets in so that’s 2500 rolling papers , hopefully that should see me through this year.

I was slightly worried about my Yellow Tang as he looked slightly thin and he didn’t seem to be eating much. Anyway 4 days on he seems to have put some weight on. Most of the dried seaweed I have put in the tank has now gone which I presume he has eaten, he’s also eating Cyclops. Hopefully by next week he’ll be nice and plump.

I’m trying to get go carting organised for the end of March, taking around 8 mates with me, where all mad about things with engines in. Here are a range of toys that are owned or have been Yamaha 700CC Raptor quads, Japanese imported Suzuki GSXR bikes, Trials & Motor x bikes, Ford Focus ST, BMW M3, Renault 5 GT Turbo, VW Transporter Sport Line van, Ford Fiesta RS Turbo, Renault Clio 182 / 172 / Trophy, Megane F1.

Where hoping to get an iron man cart race sorted where you get a 20 minute practice / qualify and then a 40 minute race. Most of us will be taking our own helmets, as their helmets usually smell and they’ve had hundreds of heads in which could have sneezed in them or anything.
I prefer Moto x helmets and goggles as they tend to weigh less than a road bike helmet. But some go carting places won’t let you race with a motor cross helmet unless you sign a disclaimer. Not sure why they aren’t keen on moto x helmets, oh well I’ll be using a bike helmet just to be on the safe side.

Go Cart

Last night I was left on my own so I thought I would try some online poker. I’ve seen varying websites before such as Full Tilt Poker (I love their TV ads), PKR and 888.

I decided to go with 888 as I’ve seen them covering more of the gambling scene.

I have just been playing free games for the time been just so that I can get familiar with it but i reckon by the end of the month I’ll be playing with small amounts of money.

If i can make a little money from playing poker online then I’d be happy, I’ve deposited £70 into my 888 account and to be honest once that’s gone it’s gone, I’m going to keep a tally so that I know what’s winnings and what is my original deposit.

The Yellow Tang i bought at the weekend isn’t eating any of the nori that I’m putting in the tank, which worries me slightly but he is taking some of the pellets that I’m putting in so I’m not too worried at the moment.

Online Poker

Its my birthday on the 21st of Feb and I’ve been and booked my self 2 tickets to go and see Ocean Colour Scene. They are playing at Bradford’s St Georges Hall on the 22nd of February.

I’ll have to dig out my old Knebworth T shirt that i got when Ocean Colour Scene supported Oasis back in 1996.
I thought a head though and bought a large t shirt so it should still fit and if the t shirt printing was upto standard then it should still look fresh.

Moseley Shoals was Ocean Colour Scene’s 2nd album and their biggest album featuring their 2 biggest songs “The Riverboat Song” and “The Day We Caught the Train”.

I bought a new fish at the weekend for myself a lovely Yellow Tang. i’ve just been and bought it some Green Sea Weed for its food.

Yellow Tang

Looks to me like Brawn GP Fluked last year’s championships. I can remember Jenson button saying on the BBC’s hit show top gear, “as soon as I drove the car I knew it was a good base to start on” this was based on the testing that happened at the beginning of 2009.

Looking back at testing stats both Brawns where super quick in testing. See Below for an example of times.

There was a video in the BBC website with Ross Brawn, with him saying oh we aren’t that quick when low on fuel but on par with Ferraris when we have a full tank.

To be honest he didn’t seem that sure about the whole thing anyway. The true test will be qualifying at Bahrain, This is the first time all the cars will run together with a fullish of fuel.

Rules state that the car can be re fueled before the race but that is it. So it’s still open for lighter fuel loads to be used in qualifying.

Well for Valentine’s Day i would love to take the other half out but I’m definitely not paying double the price for a table or a meal just because of a supposed special day.

Anyway i have booked a table for two at the two rivers restraunt which is located in The Deep at Hull, hopefully we will get a table near one of the aquarium’s.

One of my local pubs is doing a meal for 2 for £60 which i think is a little bit pricey.

It will probably take us just under 2 hours to get there, i have the table booked for 8.30, which means we need to be going for 6.30 ath the latest.

A while back i did a post on a new incense called New Dawn, well there’s now a new product that’s meant to be even better than that called Tribal Warrior Incense. Prices are around £29.99 for a 3g packet which is at the high end but if its good then its definitely worth it.

Not many head shops seem to be stocking Tribal Warrior Incense legal high, even though they have it listed on their website.

I’ve seen mixed reviews of New Dawn Incense on varying forums. but on the main forum that i read there only seems to be good reviews.

I’m hoping to get my packet tomorrow or Thursday so I’m hoping to have a quite weekend so i can try it out.
